Rosalind Grossman
Rosalind B. Grossman (Barnett), 91, of Howell died May 14, 2012. She was born in Newark and lived in Colonia for 30 years before retiring to Howell in 1986.
Mrs. Grossman worked as a bookkeeper for much of her life. She also worked beside her husband, Leo, at the family business, Barney’s Army Navy Store.
A leader who gave her time and skills to many organizations, she served as president of B’nai B’rith’s Sinai chapter and the Northern New Jersey Council. After moving to Howell’s Surrey Downs community, she immediately became active there, organizing many activities.
Predeceased by her husband, Leo, in 2008, she is survived by her son, Michael of Duluth, Minn.; two daughters, Brooke Coneys of Jersey City and Rachael Erlbaum of East Montpelier, Vt.; a sister, Frances Scharkss of Palm Harbor, Fla.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
