Robert Wyckoff
Robert Russell Wyckoff, 64, of Scotch Plains died Jan. 31, 2014. He was born in Newark and lived in Westfield until 1980, when he moved to Scotch Plains.
A former owner and editor of The Suburban News, Mr. Wyckoff spent his entire career in printing and publishing. Most recently, he was employed by Gator Communications in Fairfield.
He held a BA from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn.
He was a member of Congregation Beth Israel of Scotch Plains, where he was active in its men’s club and choir.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Finkelstein); his mother, Doris M. of Atlantis, Fla., a sister, Susan Wyckoff Fell of Atlantis; a brother, Douglas L. of Rahway; his mother-in-law, Joan Finkelstein of Springfield; eight nieces and nephews; and seven grandnieces and -nephews.
Services were held Feb. 3 with arrangements by Ross Shalom Chapels, Springfield. Memorial contributions may be made to the Patient Assistance Fund at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
