Robert S. Eisenberg
Robert S. Eisenberg, 80, of Boca Raton, Fla., and Atlantic City died Aug. 16, 2011. Born and raised in Jersey City, he also lived in Westfield.
Mr. Eisenberg began his legal career as a prosecutor in Hudson County and then had a criminal law practice in Jersey City for more than 50 years, continuing to work well into his “retirement” from his home in Boca Raton.
He earned a bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University as a member of its second graduating class, and earned a law degree from New York University School of Law.
He was a member of Temple Emanu-El in Westfield, where he engaged in philanthropy. He also served as president of B’nai B’rith of Westfield and of the Leukemia Society, and he was active in Brandeis University’s alumni association.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frema (Ciplet); a daughter, Lori Kilberg of Atlanta, Ga.; two sons, Kenneth of Linwood and Glenn of Canton, Ohio; and six grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 21 with arrangements by Roth-Goldsteins’ Memorial Chapel, Atlantic City. Memorial contributions may be made to Jewish Family Service, Margate.
