Robert Floyd LeVine, 89, of Boca Raton, Fla., died March 8, 2019. Born in Paterson, he lived in Short Hills for many years before moving to Florida after his retirement.
Mr. LeVine owned retail and wholesale shoe companies. He was also an adjunct professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
He attended Blair Academy and Penn State University and received a master’s degree from New York University.
A life-long jazz aficionado, he played the bass fiddle in several bands in New Jersey and Florida, and served as the librarian for many rehearsal bands in Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda; his son, Richard (Stacey); his daughter, Jaime (Bruce); two brothers, Howard LeVine and Walter LeVine; and three grandchildren.
Services were held March 13 with arrangements by Robert Schoem’s Menorah Chapel, Paramus.
