Robert Kipnees
Robert J. Kipnees, 62, of Livingston died Dec. 2, 2018.
Mr. Kipnees was an attorney specializing in white-collar criminal defense. He had been a partner at the Roseland law firm of Lowenstein Sandler since 2004, and prior to that, a partner at Greenbaum Rowe Smith & Davis in Woodbridge. He also taught white-collar criminal defense courses as an adjunct professor at Seton Hall Law School. Before joining private practice, he had been an assistant U.S. Attorney.
He received his B.A., cum laude with distinction, from Cornell University, and his J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Helane; his children, Joshua (Tara) of South Orange, Gabriel of Orange, Shira of New York City, and Sarah and Jacob Schachter; his mother, Pearl of Monroe Township; a sister, Marcy Gregory of New York City; a brother, Glenn of Pennsylvania; and two grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 5 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
