Robert J. Weinstock

Robert J. Weinstock, 73, of Cranford died Sept. 18, 2011. Born in the Bronx, he lived in Philadelphia and Somerset before moving to Cranford in 1963.

Mr. Weinstock was an insurance executive with Allianz Insurance Company in New York for 10 years and AIG Insurance Company in New York for 11 years.

He received his BS degree from Rider College.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Predeceased by his first wife, Bernice (Sokolov), in 1982, he is survived by his wife, Olga; three sons, Michael of Scotch Plains, Eric of Randolph, and Kenneth of Simsbury, Conn.; a sister, Hedda Kirschbaum of Virginia; and a granddaughter.

Services were held Sept. 20 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
