Robert H. Rose

Robert H. Rose, 96, of Succasunna died March 5, 2011. Born in New York City, he raised his family in Pleasantville, NY, and lived in Boynton Beach, Fla., for 20 years before returning to New Jersey.

Mr. Rose operated Rose Cleaners in Mount Kisco, NY, from 1955 until his retirement in 1989.

He served as a cabin boy aboard various merchant ships in the 1930s.

He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, serving in India.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jeanette; his daughter, Beryl Lichter; his son, Matthew; a brother, Leonard; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Services were held March 7 with arrangements by J.L. Apter Memorial Chapels of Dover. Memorial contributions may be made to Temple Hatikvah of Flanders.
