Richard Hofflich
Richard A. Hofflich, 64, of Florham Park died on Oct. 19, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, he lived in Millburn/Short Hills with his family for more than 30 years.
Mr. Hofflich was an attorney in New York City for more than 42 years in a practice that spanned over 100 years, Kornblum & Shlefstein, which later became Rosenbloom & Hofflich. He specialized in the practice of environmental law, petroleum remediation, and real estate. He was partners with Jerald Rosenbloom and his legal assistant, Michele Catti.
He graduated from Brooklyn College in 1971 and Brooklyn Law School in 1974.
He was a member of Congregation B’nai Israel, Millburn, where he served as board member and legal adviser.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Terry; two daughters, Lindsey (Mike Quinn) of Philadelphia and Stacey (Stefan Gitten) of Santa Ana, Calif.; two brothers, Stephen of Oyster Bay, NY, and Joel of Middletown, NY; and a granddaughter.
Services were held Oct. 21 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to the Thomas Glasser Caregivers Center or the Palliative Care Center, both through Overlook Hospital Foundation, Summit.
