Richard B. Winters
Richard B. Winters, 75, of West Orange died Jan. 16, 2011. Born in the Bronx, he resided for most of his life in Livingston.
Dr. Winters was in private practice in Livingston, specializing in endodontics.
He received a BS degree from Queens College in 1956 and graduated from New York University School of Dentistry in 1960 and the University of Pittsburgh in 1968.
He was a past president of the Newark Dental Club and a member of the Association of American Endodontists.
He served as a captain in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1962.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia (Papov); his son, Harris of New York City; his daughter, Robin Goolsbee of Chicago; a brother, Theodore of North Palm Beach, Fla.; a sister, Lisa Winters of Los Angeles; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 19 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
