Recalling kindness
On behalf of the Holocaust Council of Greater MetroWest, I would like to thank you for covering the recent Lunch and Learn featuring PRC Vice Consul General Zhang Meifang and Ellen Chaim Kracko, which was organized as part of the “Sanctuary in Shanghai” exhibit and educational series (“Recalling kindness to survivorsin Shanghai,” Jan. 23).
Your detailed coverage of this event served a very important purpose — to educate members of the community at large who did not have an opportunity to attend the program about the Jewish refugees who found sanctuary in Shanghai during the Holocaust.
Holocaust Council board member Robin Sysler works very hard all year to organize Lunch and Learn programs to keep the memory of the Holocaust alive through education. The Holocaust Council is grateful for her efforts and for the community’s involvement.
