Raymond Schaff

Raymond Schaff, 86, of East Brunswick died June 11, 2015. Born in Brooklyn, he resided there as well as in Queens before moving to East Brunswick in 1962.

A U.S. Army veteran, he served during peacetime from 1946 to 1948.

Prior to his retirement in 1972, Mr. Schaff was self-employed as an engineer and in construction sales for 50 years.

He was a congregant of East Brunswick Jewish Center.

Predeceased by a son, Phillip, in February, he is survived by his wife of 65 years, Norma; three sons, Steven (Linda) of Linden; Dennis (Suzanne) of Newark, Del.; and Michael (Robin) of East Brunswick; his daughter, Laurie Simms of Elizabeth; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Services were held June 12 with arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to East Brunswick Jewish Center’s General Fund.
