Rabbi Morton Rosenthal
Rabbi Morton M. Rosenthal, 81, of Pennington died Jan. 12, 2013. Born in Cleveland, he was a former resident of Lawrenceville.
Rabbi Rosenthal was a former rabbi of Har Sinai Temple and was the director of the Anti-Defamation League’s Latin American Affairs Department. He authored several books and papers, including “Jews in Marxist Chile, On the Way Out” (1971).
He was a graduate of Ohio State University and Hebrew Union College, Jewish Institute of Religion.
He was active in several community organizations, including Greenwood House and the New Jersey Human Rights Commission.
He is survived by his wife, Lila Belt Rosenthal; his son, David; his daughter, Sandra (Eric) Laumann; two sisters, Eileen Gottsegen and Beverly Marks; and three granddaughters.
Services were held Jan. 15 at Adath Israel Congregation, Lawrenceville, with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to Greenwood House, Ewing.
