Rabbi M. William Kurry

Rabbi M. William Kurry, 77, of Little Silver died May 2, 2018. He was born in Newark.

Rabbi Kurry, known as “Rabbi Bill,” was a principal at Rogers Clothes and Kurry’s Clothes, and was later ordained as a rabbi after graduating from The Rabbinical Seminary in New York. 

He graduated from University of Georgia in 1962 and held a master of arts and literature from Kean University. 

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Brousell Kurry; four sons, Jonathan (Yahima) of Florida, Drew (Meredith) of Colorado, Matthew (Aimee) of Florida, and Steven Brousell of North Carolina; his daughter, Jodi Kurry Cohen of Florida; and nine grandchildren. 

Services were held May 4 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to MAZON or American Jewish World Service.
