Princeton’s Holocaust Remembrance Day
Princeton University’s Katie Irelan and Jacob Brown read names of Shoah victims.
IN COMMEMORATION of Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day, students from Princeton’s Center for Jewish life organized a 24-hour-long reading of six million names of Holocaust victims. Students and staff volunteered for 30-minute shifts beginning Wednesday evening, May 1, at 9 p.m., and concluding Thursday evening at 9 p.m.
The commemoration began at 7:30 p.m. with a program at the Center for Jewish life featuring Holocaust survivor Trudy Album.
