Preventing tragedy

In light of the tragic fire in Brooklyn that took the lives of seven children, I encourage all leaders of communities to go door to door and check if people have smoke alarms and at least post a warning in newspapers. Shuls, schools, JCCs, and local stores should put out warnings about what tragedy might occur without them.

Smoke alarms should be as mandatory as mezuzot.
