Phyllis Layne
Phyllis Layne (Goldner), 86, of Livingston died Nov. 30, 2013. She was born in Newark and was a longtime resident of West Orange and Cedar Knolls.
A lover of music, theater, and art, Mrs. Layne wrote, produced, directed, and performed shows as fundraisers for B’nai B’rith Women and at her synagogue in West Orange.
She is survived by two daughters, Cindy (Paul) and Kathi (George); a brother, Leonard Goldner; and two grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 2 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Leon & Toby Cooperman JCC, West Orange.
