Pauline Shapiro, 91, of Boca Raton, Fla., formerly of Bloomfield, died Feb. 5, 2011. Born in New York City, she was raised in Brooklyn and lived most of her life in Bloomfield. She was also a resident of Parsippany and West Orange.
Mrs. Shapiro was an active member of Temple B’nai Zion in Bloomfield.
Predeceased by her husband, Sidney, she is survived by three sons, Roy, Rabbi Merrill, and Robert; a brother, Louis Schlifstein; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 8 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Dallas; or the Toby Shapiro Library Fund at Congregation Agudath Israel, Caldwell.
