Paul Janofsky

Paul Stanley Janofsky, 83, died Jan. 10, 2015. He was a lifelong Bronx resident. 

Mr. Janofsky had a career of over 30 years as a typographer, and later went on to work for the U.S. Post Office as a mail clerk in Manhattan for over 10 years. 

A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he served at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska. 

He was a member of the Bronx House, U.S. Post Office Mail Handlers Union, and the Amalgamated Typographers Union. 

He is survived by two daughters, Diane (Gavin) Rooney and Rachel (Erich) Rockman, both of Chatham; a sister, Mildred Shipman of Tamarac, Fla.; and four grandchildren. 

Services were held Jan. 13 with arrangements by Ross’ Shalom Chapels, Chatham.
