Paul Greenstein

Paul Greenstein, 85, of Delray Beach, Fla., died Sept. 16, 2010. Born in Newark, he also had lived in Springfield and West Orange before moving to Delray Beach 12 years ago.

A former builder, Mr. Greenstein built single-family houses throughout central and northern New Jersey. He was also a former building inspector for the Township of Springfield.

He received a BA in business administration from Upsala College.

He was a past president of B’nai B’rith and was a member of Temple Beth Ahm Yisrael, both in Springfield.

Drafted into military service at age 18, where he received special training with the 5th Army Group under the command of General Omar Bradley, he was a witness to the Normandy Invasion and later served in France, Germany and Italy. He received the Victory, Good Conduct, and American Theatre medals and the European-African Middle Eastern Ribbon.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Corrinne Tzeses Greenstein; his daughter, Diane Katz; and his son, Jess.

Services were held Sept. 19 with arrangements by Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, Delray Beach.
