Patricia Altshuler

Patricia Altshuler, 70, of Scottsdale, Ariz., formerly of Freehold, died Nov. 1, 2010. She was born and raised in El Dorado, Ill., and lived briefly in Fair Lawn and Neptune before moving to Freehold in 1971.

Mrs. Altshuler was the practice administrator for her husband’s OB-GYN practice.

She graduated from Missouri Baptist Hospital School of Nursing, St. Louis. She was active in many local organizations, including serving as a founding member of the Doctors’ Wives Auxiliary of Freehold Area Hospital.

A 21-year survivor of breast cancer, she participated annually in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

She was an active member of Temple Shaari Emeth, Manalapan.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, William; her daughter, Julie Eggler of Scottsdale; her son, Robert of Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother, John Robert Watson of El Dorado; a sister, Judy Su of El Paso, Texas; and three grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 3. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
