Norman Ward of Rockaway Township died Nov. 8, 2017. He was raised in South Orange and also had lived in Morris Plains.
Mr. Ward worked as a manufacturers’ representative, selling plumbing supplies. He founded The Ward Co.
He graduated from Columbia High School, Maplewood, in 1933.
He was a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army, serving in World War II and the Korean War.
He enjoyed playing tennis well into his 80s.
Predeceased by his wife, Rita, he is survived by two daughters, Beth Ward and Karen (Ron) Gabriele; and two granddaughters.
Arrangements were handled by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
