Norman Oshrin

Norman H. Oshrin, 78, of Monroe Township died Feb. 3, 2012. Born in Brooklyn, he resided in several states before moving to Monroe 13 years ago.

Prior to retiring in 2008, Mr. Oshrin was an editor and journalist for The Jewish State newspaper, as well as for many secular and religious publications, earning numerous awards and distinctions.

A U.S. Army veteran, he served from 1956 to 1962.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Liza Maston Oshrin; his stepson, Jason Maston of Monroe; his stepdaughter, Robin Maston of Clarksburg; and four grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 6 with arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick.
