Norman Kominsky

Norman Kominsky, 93, of Whippany died June 15, 2015. Born in Bayonne, he lived in Hillside and Monroe Township before moving to Whippany in 2013.

Mr. Kominsky was a Certified Public Accountant until his retirement in 2013. He was associated with Kominsky & Co. of Union, which merged into Citrin Cooperman LLP of Livingston. 

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. 

He was a member of B’nai B’rith of Union, Jewish War Veterans of Hillside, AICPA, NJCPA, and NYSSCPA. He was also a founding member of Congregation Shomrei Torah in Hillside. 

Predeceased by his wife, Beverly (Kominsky), he is survived by his son, Elliott (Carol); his daughter, Cheryl (Dennis) Riley; a brother, Arnold; and four grandchildren. 

Services were held June 17 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Transplant Center at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center or Sharing Network, New Providence.
