No surprise
Your editorial of Jan. 17, 2013, questions the untimely reporting of The New York Times, CNN, and other media on the negative comments by Egyptian President Morsi against Jews (“The closing of the Jewish mind”).
Surely, at this point, no one should be surprised at anything the Times says or doesn’t say when it comes to Israel. It has established itself as an equal partner in the media to find fault with Israel no matter what. The Times as well as most of the mainstream media have ceased to be journalists in the true sense of the word and have just become partisan reporters with an agenda. And that agenda is good for neither Jews here nor Israelis. And it’s not good for America either. My question to The New York Times: When are you going back to being a credible newspaper?
