New judge sworn in
Hillside native Seth Dombeck was sworn in as a municipal judge in the Township of Irvington on March 8.
Dombeck, a 1996 graduate of the Jewish Educational Center’s Rav Teitz Mesivta Academy, lives in Hillside with his wife Suries, a graduate of JEC’s Bruriah High School, and their five children.
“Seth possesses the attributes of intelligence, fairness, and kindness to a high degree,” said Rav Elazar Mayer Teitz, Rav HaIr of Elizabeth/Hillside and dean of the JEC. “They make him an ideal candidate for this position and it is gratifying to see him recognized in this fashion.”
“It is an honor to join the New Jersey Judiciary and to serve as a municipal judge in the Township of Irvington,” Dombeck said. “Receiving my appointment during the week of Parshas Yisro when Yisro recommends to Moshe Rabbeinu to establish a system of judges was very meaningful to me, and I look forward to serving along many highly respected judges in the state.”
