Nelson Shapiro
Nelson H. Shapiro, 78, of Bloomfield died Oct. 22, 2012. Born in Newark, he lived in Newark, Irvington, and Chatham before moving to Bloomfield last year.
Mr. Shapiro was employed as a computer operator by Melnor Industries of Moonachie and previously by Keene Lighting of Union.
He was active in the former YM-YWHA of Newark.
He is survived by his cousin, Shari Lepore of Westfield.
Services were held Oct. 24 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
