NCJW ‘store’ helps kids going back to school

THE BACK 2 SCHOOL Store sponsored by National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW), West Morris Section, gave students from four to 17 years old who are served by Homeless Solutions the opportunity to acquire new outfits for the new school year.

Homeless Solutions offers shelter, services, and supportive housing to the homeless and working poor in Morris County. The event, held at Morristown Jewish Center Beit Yisrael, volunteers served as “personal shoppers,” helping the students try on and pick out new outfits.

The organizers — Karen Secular, Melanie Levitan, and Kim Kramer Ganz, all of Morristown — acknowledged section members who donated the funds to purchase the clothing as well as Century 21 department store, which provided shopping bags and a gift card, and Kohl’s, which offered discounts.
