Nathan Schlossberg
Nathan “Nat” Schlossberg, 96, of Livingston died Aug. 26, 2018. He lived in Livingston for the past four and a half years after living in West Orange for many years.
Mr. Schlossberg worked as a broker for UBS in Short Hills, working in securities sales for 40 years. He also worked as a Newark schoolteacher for over 30 years and as director of the Fawn Ridge Day Camp.
He was a graduate of New York University.
He served during World War II in the Army Air Corps.
He was past president of B’nai B’rith, chair of Israel Bonds, a member of B’nai Shalom, and was involved in United Jewish Appeal and missions to Israel. He also coached football.
Predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Estelle, he is survived by his son, Harlan (Maureen); two daughters, Nezi (David) Schwartz and Debbie (Schlomo) Nessin; six grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services were held Aug. 29 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to JCC MetroWest in West Orange.
