Nathan Saltzman, 80, of Delray Beach, Fla., and Bayonne died May 6, 2012.
A longtime paint salesman in New York and New Jersey, his passion was for the Jewish community. He served as president of both Congregation B’nai Jacob in Jersey City and Temple Emanu-El, Bayonne and of the Jersey City chapter of Magen David Adom. He also served on the board of the Jewish Family Services of Hudson County.
He was vice president of Temple Emeth in Delray Beach, and held many roles in community theater.
Predeceased by his wife, Debbie, he is survived by his son, Seth of Livingston; two daughters, Rina Saltzman and Donna Wach; and five grandchildren.
Services were held May 7 with arrangements by Gutterman Bros., Lake Hiawatha. Memorial contributions may be made to American Friends of Magen David Adom.
