Myron Katz of Monsey, N.Y., died March 23, 2019. Born in Newark to Edythe Brownstein Katz and Irving Katz, he also lived in Springfield.
Mr. Katz was a veteran of the Korean War and chapter head of the Springfield chapter of Jewish War Veterans.
He ran a collection agency in East Orange. He loved nature, fishing, skiing, traveling, and cycling.
He is survived by his wife, Paulette Pines Katz; his daughters, Laurel of Philadelphia and Ilisa of Brooklyn, N.Y.; son, Adam of Frank Lakes; stepchildren, Rivka Shear and Michael Pines; and five grandchildren.
Services were held March 25 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to The Jewish War Veterans’ Springfield, N.J., Chapter.
