Myron Alberts
Myron Alberts, 80, of Monroe Township died Dec. 14, 2011. Born in Brooklyn, he was a former resident of Queens.
Mr. Alberts was a professor of economics at Brooklyn College and dean of administration at The College of Staten Island before retiring. He was a founder and former president of Alley Pond Environmental Center.
He was a graduate of Brooklyn College and New York University Law School.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Schwartz Alberts; his daughter, Jacqueline Alberts; his son, Brian Alberts; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 18 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to APEC, 228-06 Northern Blvd., Douglaston, NY 11363.
