Murray “Murph” Joseph Plishtin, 81, of East Hanover died Feb. 15, 2016. Born and raised in Newark, he also had lived in Livingston.
Dr. Plishtin established his dental practice in West Orange in 1960 and practiced both dentistry and real estate (at Weichert Realty) until earlier this year.
He was a graduate of Weequahic High School in Newark. He received his BA from University of Connecticut and dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
Predeceased a year ago by his wife of 60 years, Cynthia Harkavy Plishtin, he is survived by his daughter, Amy; his son, Bernie; and two grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 18 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Funeral Chapel, Livingston.
