Muriel Weiss of Cedar Grove died June 23, 2015. Born in Irvington, she lived in Clifton for many years before moving to Cedar Grove 10 years ago.
She graduated from Irvington High School, where she was the first chair violinist in the school’s orchestra. After high school, she received an academic scholarship to attend Rutgers University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 65 years, George; her son, Eric (Beth); her daughter, Karen Weiss (Geoff Burnham); a brother, Franklin Goodman; and two grandsons.
Services were held June 25 with arrangements by Jewish Memorial Chapel, Clifton.
