Muriel Trambert
Muriel G. Trambert (Goldberg) of Monroe Township died Aug. 31, 2013. She was born in Brooklyn and had also lived in Bayonne, Hillside, Springfield, and Princeton.
Mrs. Trambert was a social studies teacher in New York City, working in each borough for over 30 years. She also taught for 18 years at Odyssey House, New York, a therapeutic drug and alcohol community.
She graduated from Hunter College with a bachelor of science and a master’s degree in education.
She belonged to Congregation Beit Shalom of Monroe and was a lifetime member of Hadassah and Brandeis Women. She also was a member of the National Council of Jewish Women.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Leonard; three daughters, Andrea (Larry) Leff, Robyn Michelson, and Renee (Edward Tyler); and six grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 1 with arrangements by Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Inc., Edison. Memorial contributions may be made to Jewish Guild for the Blind, 15 W. 65th St., New York, NY 10023 or any Salvation Army branch.
