Morris Marks
Morris Marks, 94, of Princeton died May 31, 2018. Originally from Philadelphia, he moved to Tamarac, Fla., after his retirement and to Princeton in 2005.
Mr. Marks became a watch repairman to help support his mother after his father’s death. He spent the next four decades working on Philadelphia’s Jewelers Row. He graduated from South Philadelphia High School for Boys.
He enlisted in the Army and served in the Signal Corps, repairing code machines. Celebrating V-E Day, he watched Gen. Charles de Gaulle march through Paris from a perch near the Arc de Triomphe.
He was active at his senior-living community in Tamarac, Fla., serving as secretary of the condo board and as a member of the neighborhood-watch program.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Connie Seidler Marks; his daughter, Marilyn Marks Tal (Reli Tal) of Princeton; his son, Ted (Ilene) of San Jose, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
