Morris Ellenbogen

Morris Ellenbogen, 79, of Manchester Township died Jan. 31, 2012. Born and raised in Passaic, he lived in Clifton and West Orange before retiring to Manchester.

An entrepreneur, Mr. Ellenbogen formed several small companies over the years, most notably the Little Bus Company in Clifton.

He was a graduate of the Newark College of Engineering.

He was a Boy Scout leader for many years, a volunteer ambulance driver, and an EMT. He enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels, was a member of Helping Hands, and worked on fund raisers for the Manchester First Aid Auxiliary. He also enjoyed sailboat racing and was a past commodore at the Garden State Yacht Club of Lake Hopatcong.

He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Miriam Schreiber; three sons, Gary, Richard, and Andrew; and four grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 2 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
