Milka Meshulam

Milka Meshulam, 101, of Toms River died May 2, 2014. She was born in Bulgaria and later resided in Palestine and New York prior to settling in Toms River.

A survivor of World War II, Mrs. Meshulam escaped to pre-state Israel in 1944 and then moved to the United States in 1946.

She was a past member of Shearith Israel Congregation, New York, and a member of the Yugoslavian Jewish Community.

Predeceased by her husband, Joseph, in 1991, and her daughter, Shelley Keller, in 2013, she is survived by her son, David (Gail) of Barnegat; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held May 4 with arrangements by Belkoff-Goldstein Funeral Chapel, Lakewood. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
