Milford Schulman

Milford “Mick” Schulman of Springfield and Agoura Hills, Calif., died Feb. 4, 2015. 

After World War II, Mr. Schulman and his father moved their dry goods store in Newark to Elizabeth, opening Schulman’s Department Store. 

He was an Air Force veteran, completing 45 successful bombing missions as the bombardier of a B-52 over Germany. He earned the distinguished “Flying Cross” medal. 

He was an avid boater.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Diana; his son, Mark (Andrea); and a granddaughter. 

Services were held Feb. 11 with arrangements by J.L. Apter Memorial Chapels of Maplewood.
