Middlesex federation to hold Hurricane Response Day on Nov. 18
On Sunday, Nov. 18 — instead of its scheduled Super Sunday Community Action Day at the Douglass Campus in New Brunswick — the Jewish Federation of Greater Middlesex County will host a Hurricane Response Day at its offices at 230 Old Bridge Turnpike in South River.
The event, scheduled to run from 1 to 4 p.m., will provide residents affected by Hurricane Sandy with information and assistance. Community members are asked to bring much-needed goods, such as food, cleaning supplies, flashlights, blankets, and coats (check the federation website for a full list) to the event. The federation will also be collecting funds and recruiting volunteers to help in relief efforts.
The Middlesex federation’s Super Sunday phonathon has been rescheduled for Jan. 13 at the South River offices. This annual event will be staffed by volunteers calling community members to raise funds for the federation’s annual campaign. To be part of the effort, contact 732-588-1800.
