Michael Tropp
Michael Tropp of West Orange died Dec. 16, 2010. Born in Newark, he was a resident of Livingston before moving to West Orange 10 years ago.
A graduate of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, Mr. Tropp was a manager at the Quick Chek, Sayreville, for nine years. Prior to that, he worked for Supermarkets General of Woodbridge for 26 years. He served as president of Temple Emanu-El of West Essex, Livingston, in 2000.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Lieberman; his son, Jason of Livingston; his daughter, Sharon Scalora of West Orange; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Dec. 19 at Temple Emanu-El, with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to the Miracle Walk Fund at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston; the Morristown Memorial Hospital Carol Simon Cancer Fund, or the David Raskin Care and Community Fund at Temple Emanu-El.
