Michael More
Michael More, 81, of Linden died May 9, 2015. Born in Warsaw, Poland, as a child he escaped the Nazis and survived in Siberia, Russia. After World War II he and his father relocated to Holland. He then immigrated to Montreal before settling in Newark and then Linden, where he lived for the past 53 years.
Mr. More was a children’s clothing pattern maker for Sharlyn Fashions in New York City. He was a lifelong member of the International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union. He also founded and owned the Bee Bop Shop in Linden from 1978 to 1993.
Predeceased by his wife, Dora, in 2011, he is survived by three daughters, Reva, Sandra, and Rifka; and his son, Jay.
Services were held May 11 with arrangements by Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, Livingston. Memorial contributions may be made to U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, Washington, DC.
