Meyer Fivis

Meyer Fivis, 92, of Union died March 25, 2011. Born in Newark, he lived in Union for 58 years.

Mr. Fivis was the owner and operator of Imperial Craftsmen, a cabinet-making business, in Union for many years, retiring 25 years ago.

A veteran of the Army during World War II, he was a member of the Jewish War Veterans and the Disabled American Veterans.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred (Prince); his daughter, Judy Flax of Short Hills; two sons, Joel of New Rochelle, NY, and Richard of Millbrae, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.

Services were held March 27 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
