Melvyn Kaye, 71, of Monroe Township died Jan. 28, 2013. Born in Brooklyn, he resided in East Brunswick before moving to Monroe in 2009.
Prior to retiring in 2012, Mr. Kaye was self employed as a sales representative for Advantage Sales, New York City, where he worked for 50 years.
A U.S. Army veteran, he served during peacetime from 1962 to 1963.
He was a member of “The Rams.”
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sheilah Bender Kaye; two sons, Steven (Jill) of Millstone Township and Jeffrey of Pompano Beach, Fla.; a sister, Elaine Hohmann of Port Washington, NY; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Jan. 30 with arrangements by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 246 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, NJ 07755.
