Melvin M. Stein
Melvin M. Stein, 82, of Florham Park died Nov. 13, 2010. Born in Newark, he lived most of his life in Union and Springfield before moving to Florham Park in 1994.
Mr. Stein was the former owner of Hill City News in Summit.
He was a graduate of Weequahic High School in Newark and a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of Temple Israel of Union and the MRA (Metropolitan Route Dealers Association). An avid golfer, he was a member of the Galloping Hill Golf Course, Kenilworth.
He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Stein-Indictor of Boca Raton, Fla., and Nancy Stein-McCarthy of Lake Worth, Fla.; his son, Joel of Springfield; and four grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 14 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Mayo Clinic, Department of Development-Dermatomyositis Research, 200 First St. SW, Rochester, MN 55905.
