Melvin Feld
Melvin “Mel” (Menashe) Feld, 87, died in Philadelphia March 13, 2015. He was born in Poland and survived the Holocaust before coming to the United States in 1947. He later resided in Cranford.
Mr. Feld founded Mel’s Children’s Dress Company. He was also a cantor.
He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, 1950-1951.
He is survived by two daughters, Pamela Feld-Randel (Harry) and Michelle (Jeffrey) Milton; a sister, Estelle Nadel; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 16 with arrangements by Rone Funeral Service, Vineland. Memorial contributions may be made to U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, 100 Raoul Wallenberg Place SW, Washington, DC 20024; JFCS of Greater Philadelphia (Holocaust survivors program), 2100 Arch St., Philadelphia, PA 19103; or Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse, 1800 Lombard St., Philadelphia, PA 19146 (earmarked NAMI NJ).
