Maurice Simon

Maurice “Jack” Jacob Simon, 51, of Woodbridge, Conn., died Feb. 17, 2013. He was born in Parsippany and resided in New Jersey before entering the military and later moving to Connecticut.

Mr. Simon worked for over 20 years as a successful financial agent at Mass Mutual life insurance company in Stamford, Conn.

He received his bachelor’s degree from Quinnipiac University, Hamden, Conn.

He served in the U.S. Navy as a corpsman surgical technician.

He was an avid practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, obtaining his third degree purple belt.

He is survived by his daughter, Lauren of Middletown, Conn.; two sons, Benjamin and Nathan of Woodbridge, Conn.; his father, Richard of Gillette; his mother, Arleen of Boonton; a brother, David of Morristown; and a sister, Madison of Gillette.

Services were held Feb. 20 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union.
