Maurice G. Weinberg
Maurice G. Weinberg, 63, of East Windsor died Sept. 16, 2010. Born in Philadelphia, he was a longtime Princeton-area resident.
A 1972 graduate of Temple University, he interrupted his studies during the Vietnam War era to enlist in the military. He spent four years in the Navy, training with radar and sophisticated computer equipment. He returned to Temple, graduating with a degree in computer science, a field in which he worked throughout his life.
He was the past president of Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Greater Mercer County. He was an active member of The Jewish Center, Princeton; Beth El Synagogue, East Windsor; and Chabad of Princeton and the Windsors. He was also a founding member of the hevra kadisha at The Jewish Center.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Elaine Schwartz Weinberg; two sons, Alex of Pikesville, Md., and Aaron of Olney, Md.; his daughter, Naomi Weinberg Perl of Washington, DC; and six grandchildren.
Services were held Sept. 20 with arrangements by Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing. Memorial contributions may be made to Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Greater Mercer County or Beth El Synagogue.
