Marvin Jacobs
Marvin H. Jacobs, 88, of South Orange died Jan. 7, 2013. Born in the Bronx, he lived in various boroughs of New York City for many years before relocating to South Orange in 1970, where he resided for over 40 years.
Mr. Jacobs was a financial analyst for Crum and Forster Insurance Company for over 25 years before his retirement. He attended City College and received his bachelor of special studies (BSS degree).
He was a member of Congregation Beth El, South Orange; an associate member of Hadassah; a supporting member of the Free Sons of Israel, Hillel Lodge No. 36; and a member of the Alumni Association of City College.
He is survived by his sister, Gladys Jacobs of South Orange.
Services were held Jan. 10 with arrangements by Menorah Chapels at Millburn, Union. Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Beth El, 222 Irvington Ave., South Orange, NJ 07079; or Hadassah.
