Martin Colner

Martin Colner, 69, of Elizabeth died Dec. 17, 2014. He was born and raised in Newark and also had lived in West Orange. 

Mr. Colner worked at law firms in both New York City and Newark for many years. 

He graduated from Drake College in Florida and then attended New York University, where he earned a paralegal degree. 

He became active in the Lions Club of Elizabeth and served as its president. During the past 10 summers, he worked with children at the Board of Recreation summer program.

He is survived by his mother, Ruth (Eisen) of Stamford, Conn.; a sister, Debby Goldberg of Stamford, Conn.; two brothers, Alan of Scarsdale, NY, and Leonard of Lawrenceville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
