Mark Kasdin
Mark B. Kasdin, 74, of Monroe Township died June 6, 2018. Born and raised in Trenton, he had lived in Ewing, North Brunswick, and Monmouth Junction before moving 11 years ago to Monroe.
Mr. Kasdin taught history for a year before going to work as a materials director with Cooper-Wheelock Industries in Long Branch for many years.
He graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in history.
He was a member of the Renaissance Senior Living Community, where he served as a trustee. He was also a member of the Men’s Club, the Veterans Club, and the Shalom Club. He was a longtime member of both Jewish War Veterans and Congregation B’nai Tikvah, serving as its financial secretary.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Maxine (Steck), and his daughter, Stacy (Matthew) Scofield.
Services were held June 10 with arrangements by Gowen Funeral Home, New Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation B’nai Tikvah, North Brunswick.
